One thing about relationship is that after a certain period of time: the kind of sweetness you wanna get from taiwanese idol drama or Japanese/korean love stories, ain't there anymore. It is because the honeymood phrase is gone.
Sweet relationship? Not every guy knows how to make a relation 'sweet' because it is highly subjective.
Your bf tells you that he won't have sex with you until the both of you is married - he is quite a responsible guy isn't it? If you are telling me that he desire sex every time, WHEN you are not ready/hates that idea - its more about lusty love. In your case - it just quite under control.
If you fear your bf would get sian of you after petting too much - in other way, you could get sian of your bf petting you. It works both ways and I still hold my stand - as long as its not sex, by theory, it shouldn't happen this way unless external factors invades strongly.
P.S: Both of you enjoy petting - so its alright. If you desire a sweet relationship, you could take initiative to begin one and probably drop a strong hint on your bf.

There's nothing really wrong with petting between a couple... If you prefer a sweet 'non-lusty' kinda relationship, perhaps you can just hint or suggest to your bf...? But when u had chosen them, accept their flaws etc.
But regarding to the sexual issue. U should do what u feel comfortable. U think that u only pleasing the guys by petting with him, then better not do it.
U can't pls him forever, for one thing. If u enjoy the closeness together, then good. But do it safety, girls are the one who lose out in the end. -

just a few general advice i wanna share. Firstly, dun have sex until married, to avoid pregnancy problems. 2nd, petting between lovers are a common thing. Everybody have sexual desires sometimes. If u dun feel the need for petting, just tell ur bf, if he respects u, he will listen to u. 3rd, discussing abt sexual issues between lovers will bring each other needs and thoughts together n more understand towards each other.

Even if you don't do it with him it seems quite LAME an excuse for him to find other girls..? I guess it all boils down to how much he loves you....? Of course most of us guys would have our own sexual needs but that would be a different issue from a love relationship... Also, refer to what Yun has said about this...
