i thought my life would change for the better once i get a job.
but apparently, on saturday and sundays when im not working,
im just surfing random forums that gives me attention.
my real life friends are all kinda busy with their work,
playing with girlfriends.
im just staying all day in house,
tired, watching anime, youtube music, movies. etc.
masturbating then back to forums.
my siblings dun stay at home and happily hanging out late
with his new friends, he just joined university.
in my fast paced country,
talking at work is usually difficult,
the manager will give you more jobs
when he sees you are free.
i dun feel lonely,
but i feel like im headed towards in a wrong direction.
if u are happy, then nothing's wrong
hanging out during weekends is a thing of the yesteryears, when people have nothing to do at home, too bored that they need to go out
these days with tv, internet, youtube, online porn, games
who need friends mannn...i rather stay comfortably at home rather than go out and squeeze with the crowd and risk catching some contagious disease
but singapore tv shows variety are really limited, so limited channels, unlike when u go overseas there are 100 over channels in the hotels tv
it's ok if you are happy about this.
of course i still do advise that you reach out to some hobbies that requires some form of human interaction. it's overall healthier both mentally and physically when you go outside and meet new people. progress at a gradual pace and feel free to go home back and do your solitary activities at any point of time you feel uncomfortable.
i used to be like this but i learnt to socialise with new people and it is more enriching than i thought.
good luck to you!
im not sure if im happy, im sure as damn hell comfortable,
no need wait for bus, mrt, travel places.
just sit in my bed, lie around, at night on air con, watch movie, super relax, lol
@lased i think you are getting what i mean, i can feel like my life is degrading, opposite
to enriching. considering your statement, i will keep an open mind and socialise if the
Once your friends get married one by one, they will not have time for you.
Introvert person always hard to meet anybody.
Why don't you initiate activities with colleagues / friends?
maybe take the initiative to jio them out?
Get to know more people and mix around with them occasionally. Don't just stay home glued to your computer. If you only keep to yourself, soon all yr friends will forget and desert you. You will only be left with yr computer for company.
The loneliness almost always sets in after an extended period of lazing, especially when you realise your friends are having fun and moving on while you're only left with the Internet. Best to keep in touch with friends and socialise once in a while before you start losing touch. Otherwise, try some interest groups? Some human interaction is always better than none.
Worst in being lonely all the time
At your age, I was visiting pubs and disco. Alot of strangers there for you to make friends with. Up to your initiative one... getting a gf is not easy. Go out with ex-classmates (gals if you have) to watch movies or pubbing and listen to slow music... they would enjoy it...
Give yourself time!
If you feel like your heading to the wrong direction maybe it's because you feel that you don't contribute much to your life (not doing much with your life). Find something that you'll really like to do like some outdoor sports or something. Maybe you can join a club, go to the library on your off day to read books...etc. Sometimes I would feel like that too, so I'll try to distract myself by doing something fun or something that might take my time off from feeling this way. You won't feel so empty after doing the things you love lol. Or you can join some kind of short certificate course and make friends there haha.
perhaps u can try to chat with random people online?
isnt tt exactly what he had done?
by posting that
It is okay, I know exactly how you feel.
I do have a circle of close friends, but I feel very conflicted about them as they tend to have expensive habits.
You are an introvert and that is normal for introverts.
Introverts are special. They love having friends but they are easily overwhelmed by other's emotion. Hence, they resort to forums and socmeds. They can have friends without any physical activities associated, hence they feel more comfortable this way without being overwhelmed by the many emotions. It is also easy to escape from conflicts. After all, introverts recover their energy by enjoying private time.
They hate conflicts, and deep inside they realise physical activities with others might cause conflicts, therefore they avoid it. As a result, they might not talk much during physical encounter, but if they chat with the same person through text, forum or chat, they are very talkative, much to their friend's amazement.
But being an introvert does not equal to having no real friends.
Being an introvert = having few friends with a very deep bond.
Introverts choose their friend selectively, including their loved one. Not just any person can be considered as a friend by introvert, and likewise not any good looking person can make them fall in love.
They also rank their friends, 1st rank, 2nd rank, 3rd ranks. And they enjoy being with the 1st ranks the most and would sacrifice their time for the 1st ranks. And they do not need to be alone to recover their energy, being together with the 1st ranks also recovers their energy.
I think you just haven't found your 1st ranks. It is hard to find. It is our (introvert's) gift, we might hard to find a good friend, but once we found it, it will be lifetime.
Even when you hang out with someone every day, you might never think of that person as a best friend or 1st rank. But someone who rarely meets you can be your 1st rank if you feel compatible with him/her. You don't need to have similarities, you don't know the reason but you want to be his/her friend, and usually the others would feel the same towards you. (another gift).
Once you find your 1st rank, you will go as far as sacrificing the last episode of your anime to be with your 1st ranks.
Btw, your life is not bad by being alone if you enjoy it. Try to read this book: Quiet: The power of introverts in the world that can't stop talking - Susan Caine you;ll begin to understand :)
