is it possible for me to switch to a jc where the pace is slower?
i think the pace at all jc should be more or less the same as they need to cover the same syllabus within the 2 years.Originally posted by spiritevo:... if i am currently studying in a jc... and i find that i am unable to cope with the pace ....

To change to another JC is best to consult yr teachers for advise. They will be in a better position to help u.Originally posted by spiritevo:... if i am currently studying in a jc... and i find that i am unable to cope with the pace ....

Yes, it can be DONE. It's usually easier during your 1st few months (I think around 2-3 months?) stay in the JC? Just let them know that you can't cope and you don't wanna affect the school's reputation... Whether your request would be accepted or not I think mainly depends on how long have you started school and your school's background and policy... Not sure about the red tape, but personally I have seen it HAPPEN before... If you've really made up your mind, be QUICK about it....Originally posted by spiritevo:... if i am currently studying in a jc... and i find that i am unable to cope with the pace ....

Come on, you are havin very negative thinking here.Originally posted by spiritevo:.. don't know... rest of the school are all geniuses......
i'm not....
don't think i'm learning anything like that.....
I know alot of them who only CHONG all the way when their 'A' levels is there!Originally posted by ashgoh:Come on, you are havin very negative thinking here.
All the rest of the students who enter JC go through the same way as you did.
Anyway, I know its real tough especially in the 1st year of JC. Especially for those who did not attend the 1st 3 mths. Coz all seem some blur. Its the same when you were new in Sec 1 after coming up from primary school. 4 subjects --> 8 subjects
No point going to other JC...its the same, fast pace. If you prefer a slower pace, then the only other place is Pre-U which take 3 yrs to complete.
But I do advise you to think over it carefully and seek help from your CT and Lecturers.
Since you think you are lacking behind...shouldn't you put in the extra effort/work to catch up with the rest. If there is any topic or homework you are blur, seek help from the top students and Teachers. Its only Jun.. you still have 4mths till your exams.![]()
This I AGREE... But if he / she thinks that it's the fellow students or lecturer(s) who are affecting him / her, sometimes it's worth a CHANGE... But like most have suggested here, it's usually NOT....Originally posted by Indulgence:And no, no other JC would go at a slower pace, cos at the end of the day, there's a given syllabus to complete.
