Help how the heck do i do banking?

I have an account with POSB and DBS, of which the POSB account i need to use to transfer money to other accounts. I've heard dbs and posb are joint together, so i hope you will answer my query which is: Exactly what are the procedures involved if i want to transfer money from my account in POSB to another account, and all i have is a savings passbook (those green ones; no atm card whatsoever). Pls advise because i am a noob @ this.

Go to the branch, bring your passbooks with you... They'll tell you what to do... how to apply? And wtf is internet banking? cos normally my friends do my money stuff for me,,, but now my clan membership smaller, and many of em want to go school. So i must learn to be responsible.

internet banking - u can perform transcations online but u must apply for the service 1st. as u dun haf an atm card, u haf to go to the bank counter to apply... the bank staff will gif u an user id n also a password. u must let them noe that u wan all the accounts to be link to the internet banking service. then u can start to use it.. but transfer online may take a few days for it to effect as there is a cut off time. (not sure,u haf to check wif them)
phonebanking - go bank apply also... given user id n password. u can add all ur accounts urself by listenin to instructions given over the phone lor.. then fund transfer is immediately. -
If you have to do this kinda fund transfer often, my personal advice would be to get yourself an ATM card for the transfer... The $ transfer option is usually available in most ATM machines.... Unless you would wanna go visit the bank with your passbook on a routine basis (if you need to do the $ transfer on a routine basis...) or you have ready access to internet (which in this case you can use internet banking..)... Personally have not try phone banking... But phones are also provided at some bank transaction kiosks...Originally posted by chaar123:how to apply? If you're just doing a one time fund transfer, you don't have to keep going back...
