I'm a Filipino from Manila and I wanna leave this God-forsaken country. I went to visit Singapore for a vacation last year and right when I stepped off the plane, I didn't wanna go back to the Philippines anymore. The day when I came home from my vacation was one of the saddest days of my life. The sad thing is, its so hard (if not impossible) nowadays to find a job in Sg if you're a foreigner like me due to the bad economy.
I still want to live in Singapore and will definitely take up the first chance that I get to go there. As for now, I'll just have to continue with my life here in Manila.
I'm just venting out my frustrations.

Glad to hear u had a good stay here in Singapore! I agree that jobs are hard (if not impossible) to find nowadays. But I do hope the economy will get better, then that way the people won't always look so gloomy, and I can find a job too next time.

i has filipino friends who work in singapore but they dun seems to be happy cuz they are doing jobs that are much more lower rank than in their own country... -

in my opinion, often a holiday gives a positive impression of the place....coz likely u will only go to 'positive places'...
it is totally different when u are talking about living in that different place....
Singapore can be seen as a nice living place, but there are many hidden flaws...i mean give n take....Philippines has its pros n cons as well... -
Damn! I have been unemployed for 2 mths now, used to be a banker for DBS. I am thinking of leaving Singapore and moving to Nepal or Sikkim, where i intend to carve out a new career as a "goat" that way i can still live and not go hungry.
