Actually, i was referring the question more of a couple relationship point of view. Of course, don't expect anything in return but the least that person could have done is show a little appreciation for what you have done. Don't you think?Originally posted by sillyme:maybe u can try to answer this first..
why is it when someone does something for someone, he/she hopes that the person will be touched and have feelings for him/her?
expect nothing in return

Maybe you are right that it doesn't really matter. But sometimes, it goes on and on till the extend that it seems like the person who is helping and caring doesn't matter. Its like only when she needs you then she calls or sms you or when she doesn't has anyone else to go out with then she calls or sms you. How would you feel?Originally posted by sillyme:but it doesn't really matter right? don't you think? being appreicated is a good feeling.. but that doesn't mean you stop caring...
It can happen on a guy as wellOriginally posted by Marmalade Boy:I was just wondering about something...
Why is it when a girl/women finds a guy who is willing to go to the ends of the earth and do anything for them; they don't cherish and treasure the guy?
But once it is lost or gone, then they come running back and doing anything to get him back in their life. Can anyone answer this question of mine? Thanks!

Thanks for the advise choco but i am no longer with her anymore. I just want to understand why is it like that.Originally posted by choco B:I would advise that you stop wondering and start looking for a girl who appreciates you.
Thanks for your point of view in this matter. You really made my day!Originally posted by sillyme:yes, it's a terrible feeling to be unappreciated.. then i think it teaches us to cherish the ppl around us..i've been thru similar situations.. but eventually i learn how to just be happy because i made someone happy for actions.. that itself is a reward

I couldn't agree more but i sure hope that i can find someone special like that some day.Originally posted by choco B:I doubt that there is an answer that can satisfy this question. Is it human nature to be selfish? To seek self gratification before anything else? To take things for granted once you are used to a situation?
I believe it is human nature to look out for yourself first. That's the basis for survival. But someone who loves you and is worthy of your love will make an effort to rise above his/herself and make your well being and happiness a priority.

Either way, just take it as a exprience and try not to do it again. Meaning when you do get a new relattionship. All the best!Originally posted by AaLviNn:very true. i didn't appreciated all that she has done for me until its too late. she sacrificed too much for me, and i was heartless. sighhh
