Think the best solution would be to go with frenz who are locals there.....
If you do not have frenz from that country....well.....its unavoidable that you will encounter some problems while shopping....
Dun think there's any real solution to such a problem....tell me if there is.....

I would suggest since the price is beyond your expectation or budget, then just leave it... they like to jack up the price you make the decision if you want to pay for the amount.. don't see the need to announce 'We, the citizens of Singapore...'

i think if you go to neighbouring countries or popular tourist hotspots , its easy to be recognised as a singaporean .
i was mistaken for a japanese in paris ( because jpnese like to og to buy LV )
