How willing are you to accept his/her shortcomings?

Be it a newly started relationship or a long one, to what extend will you allow yourself to accept his/her bad points?
Will you be upset about it, tell him/her off? Or just accept it since you love him/her?
For example, your partner is someone who is particular about cleanliness and you are someone who always scattered your things around. Will you find it irritating when you see him/her starts to clear your things every now and then?
Or your partner is someone who is very petty. Every time when he/she gets angry, will you mind? Tell yourself that itÂ’s his/her character? Or choose to break from the relationship? -

as for ur 2nd eg, i CANNOT stand petty MEN... where haf all the gentlemen gone? i haf a fren, she HAS a very petty guy, who would not accept it when ppl tell him dat he's wrong, his face will immediately turn 'black', but he like to pick on some silly trivial matter, and expect us to take it... we just do not understand how she could tahan him 4 so long and she is definitely aware abt it coz we would ask her the same qn again n again, but... aniwaes, qing ren yan li chu xi shi lah... can't say much oso... -

but there is a limit loh.........
some things mus give and take....and fan shi mus voice out (nicely) and communicate with the other party.....
some small things can close one eye lah....cannot expect eberyone to have exact habits as you mah.....
other things can talk it out and compromise loh....
takes both to put in effort to make a rship work.....
mus be both happy and not one happy then other one suffer in silence (in order to make the other party happy)
as for pettiness.....i think some ppl are jus born like tt lah....dun purposely go poke them or do/say things they dun like.....
maybe oso a bit insecure tts why they fa pi qi at the smallest things to gain attention and to show his/her tt she dun like it......perhaps the other party can be more sensitive about this -

im someone that usually keeps quiet abt something although i may not be happy with it. but if it keeps happening until i cannot tahan, i will tell the person.
I dont think it should be "should i accept becuz i love him/her?", it should rather be "is there anything wrong for him to do this?"
tell him u do not like ur stuffs to be cleared up by him. if he argues and cant accept the way u r, then i suppose he is just too petty petty petty. -
There are boundaries and both must give edgeway.

but when time goes by, as the sparks lessen, things may start to change and you may not be able to accept it.. -

I think it's important to accept the person's faults and go into the relationship with your eyes open because it's a commitment.
Also I don't think it's wise to try to change a person. You should love a person for who they are.

I will be willing to accept her the way she is no matter what.
I know cause I am quite a perfectionist, and I used to expect a lot. Then when I met my ex, well she was really not my type, in fact I guess she is mostly the opposite of what is "my type" but I am still willing to accept her for the way she is. even now that she's gone... I never regretted my decision and enjoyed being with her very much

If you love the person for who they are, how are you sure that they will love you for who you are? Maybe he/she is just putting up with it, and you may not know about it. Are you comfortable with this kind of situation? -
