Have u tried this supplement called "St. John's Wort"?
It worked for me and some studies have shown that it works as well as Prozac. U can search for it on the web.
I recommend the one sold at GNC. I tried a brand called "Greenlife" and it did not seem to work.
Good luck!
Yupz...
St John's Wort aids in depression....
However, beware of
Side effects such as photosensitivity....
Contra-indications includes those using other antidepressants and those who are lactating/pregnant...
Properties anti-depressant, mild sedative, pain reducing, anti-inflammatory and wound healing....
POSSIBLE mode of act:St John's Wort reduces the rate at which brain cells re-absorb serotonin, as low levels of serotonin in the body is associated with depression.
St John's Wort may reduce levels of Interleuckin-6 (IL-6). IL-6 in raised levels may lead to a rise in adrenal regulatory hormone which is a sign of depression.
Where you can find itU can find this supplement in Fancl or those OTC supplements in pharmacy...
However, as in the case of all medications, caution has to be exercised...when in doubt...always consult your doctor...
Natural
DOES NOT equates to being Totally safe.
Besides taking oral medication, maybe u can try to exercise (as it releases endorphine, which gives athletes the feeling of happiness after their exercise)...take sometime out to have a cuppa coffee with frenz...watch some movies...
But you have to find out the source of your depression...is it work-related or due to relationships? As you have to solve the root of the problem to be completely cured...
Hope this info helps....
