how to voice it out so that it is seem as "politically" correct...
Problem: A, B and C are colleagues...
the supervisor of the dept has arranged such that A will 'cover' B when B is not ard, B will 'cover' C when C not ard and C wil 'cover' A when A not ard....
C is fed up coz A keeps taking MCs and urgent leaves..and coincidentally B will take either Mc or leave too when A is not ard... hence, C end up have to do 3 persons work... many a times, C suspected tat A is not genuinely sick maybe because of her notorious reputation of being an MC queen... the supervisor and their respective bosses do not know or rather they chose not to know, as long as there's someone doing work for them, they dont care......
today, incidentally, C woke up in the morning feeling very giddy and letargic.. but pulled herself to work as its 26th, 25th happen to be PH.. she doesnt want ppl to think that she chao geng or what.... but along the way to work, she received an sms from A saying that she needs to take urgent leave and C msg her last night at 2am that she is on MC...
C felt that she needs to let either the supervisor or the bosses know, as its not equitable if it has to carry on for the rest of her working life in that dept... but doesnt know how to put across to the supervisor as it might seem to other ppl and A and B that im 'back stabbing' them.. and also its hard to put it across to the supervisor too, as she is the one approving their leaves and such, she might feel that C is accusing her for not doing it 'properly' if C's approach is in appropriate.......
what shld C approach be then so that it can solve her agony at the same time not hurt working ties with the involved parties.. -

i always believe in beating such people at their own game.the supervisor and their respective bosses do not know or rather they chose not to know, as long as there's someone doing work for them, they dont care......
so far, you are always available when the other two are not, and their jobs are supposingly covered.
and as long as the jobs are done, no one will question the source.
what you ought to do now is make the superior see the problem. how? do what your colleagues are doing and probably do it better, as in chao keng.
from the example you stated, if you foresee these colleagues of yours will take mc at 2am, you do it before midnight.
the timing is actually not important as the objective here is to make the superior and bosses feel the absence of all three of you.
and only when that happens, will the superior take note when any one of you is taking mc or ugent leave in future.
yes, what i am trying to tell you here is to spoil the market.
but you have one problem.
prior to all these incident, you are too idle and soft-hearted to do anything about it. only when it happens, you get frustrated. -

if really sick stay at home lor.. ....dn force urself....the A n B let them be...guess the supervisors will observe 1..
today i also force myself...come work..got deadline for my work & i dn have covering...

really there's no need to be afraid to be politcally correct.
the supervisor, so far, has seen no problems with the frequent emergency leaves and MCs that A and B are taking. perhaps they had given 'valid' reasons. if the supervisor had noticed this problem, he would have spoken to A or B.
but if C wants to talk to the supervisor about his situation, then he just have to be upfront about it. but like you said, the supervisor may take it personally and interpreting it that C is questioning his judgement. the only thing C can do is to phrase the statements in such a way that it does not involve the supervisor in it.. say things like: "i cannot handle 3 persons' work"... instead of, "i think you should should not let me cover 3 persons work"
frankly, i would leave the job -

I can pity yr situation. Dis is where U make a stand & NOT try to "qian jiu" them... frenship r impt but yr health matters more... So... if U wanna be a nice person at da expence of yr own health... go ahead & help them. -
if nt feeling well jz stay at home, heck care abt the two...

i dunno when they will be absence together, take today as eg, i will not know that both will not be ard until im in the bus.. (damn it.. shld have left home later)the timing is actually not important as the objective here is to make the superior and bosses feel the absence of all three of you. hmmmm... hahaha can imagine them panicking like hell.....

the other time i tried to apply for course, but was not approved as B will be on leave, so i LL lor.. as she said nobody cover me so i have to reschedule my course... was thinking if i can cover for 2 person, y cant they??

coz only when they are not ard, i have more work to do... (dun really like the feeling as i have the concept that its not my problem, and i shldnt be the one solving for you) otherwise, i can be quite free most of the time when there's 'full force' ... -

yes, i know i shld taste my own bud, since i did that to B last friday.. im just not happy that when either one is not ard, the other (who is suppose to cover, in this case is A) sure not ard wan.... -
Next time when they take leave, tell them to go direct to the supervisor and not to u.

My 2 cents...
If A & B did their job. I don't mind covering for them even though I know they are "kenging" since their job is not going to spill over to mine.
However, should their job stop me from doing mine then I will look for my supervisor then they kena from me jialat jialat -
My Policy
When it comes to JOB. There's ONLY JOB and ME. I don't mind helping people out once in a while IF they deserves it.
It's good of you to think for your company's sake, but it's EQUALLY IMPORTANT for you to understand that these are MORE of a management level's job. I say if people can't be bothered with their jobs, WHY should you be bothered with theirs? So many people in the company, HOW can you possibly cover them ALL? And if you CAN cover them... WHAT are they FOR? To me, they're just holding a VERY RELUCTANT position....

hmm...... i just kindda of hint hint to the supervisor.. and she kindda of hint hint to me that she will get A to buddy with 2 other colleagues to make a 3 way cover again.......
wonder if it will materialise.. if so.. i kindda of pity the other wan that's covering her too..... -
