i haf many frens whose relations went through ns and more. and o cos there were the fair share of relations wich simply waited for ns to be the trigger to disintegration. -

agree with the point that if relation can't last thru NS times then i think it's 'equals to ground zero'.
i have to also say that sometimes it's not totally the guy's fault for not wanting to meet the gal in the weekends. training siong and i do mean that we are totally drained out, so sleeping is a gift. then along comes gf to say that we are the ones who are not putting in effort to make the relation work.
on the other hand, some gals just need a lot of attention. so they'll run to anyone who can shower them with affection and attention. in this way, then she uses the excuse that NS is causing them to drift when she's the unfaithful one.

Quite hard to maintain a relationship cos when the guy goes in NS, the girl ( if same age) will be in uni meeting new older guys...at least that's what happened to my friends.

although there do seem to be alot of saigang to be done, im sure nsfs spend more time training and other more meaningful activities than doing saigang. o cos this oso depends on wat u define as sai gang. -
Yeah it is a hinderance in layman terms. A guy spends 5 days a week in an army camp, naturally due to not seeing the guy for 2 years, except perhaps once a week, a girl-friend will be tempted by the DARK SIDE, yes other men.. or women. But suppose the man did not go to NS, wouldn't he also have time to see his girl once a week as well? Surely he don't go seein her every day does he?
