how hard issit to get into university for a diploma holder?

haiz.....i juz graduated not long ago from my poly and i am considering studying a degree in nus but i dunno wat r my chances of getting in. i am the average kind of student wif mostly Cs and some Bs. i didn hav a cca in poly and my cca record looks dull. i havent sit for my SAT 1 yet.
does a poly student really has lower chances of getting into a uni than a jc student?? -
Yes. But understand dis. U have a base cert. A Jc stoodent HAVE to pass to get to Uni, or else game over.
Try yr luck then. who noes? U may get there?

Yes. It is much difficult to get in to U comparing to jc students. A COM holder like me also cannot be able to make it due to the facts I have poor result for my "O" level and SAT score I had.
Basically, you NEED a good score for SAT result in order to get in. Poly students are able to score well for their math session but their verbal session pull them down. -
From what i know...those who usually gets into the local uni from poly have an average of As and Bs....that is based on criterias about 2 -3 yrs ago...when sats is still not an issue...
I m not very sure about the criteria now....but the rules for poly admission into the local uni have relaxed over these years....
Just try applying.....U neva know until u try......

study for IB instead of SAT.
they are dumping SAT in favour of IB -
think work experience n attachment plays a part too

they will look at ur dip results, olevel, n working exp... sometimes if dip results gd oso cannot gurantee entry bcos they oso look at olevel... so gd luck to u...

it's not hard........perhaps a longer and harder way........
there are poly grads who excel and shines in unis.......u jus need to put in the effort and determination
