Should I walked away?

  Recently, meet my ex with a man (holding hand) along Orchard road. We were going opposite direction, so I think she saw me. Before she can react, I made a quick 180 degrees turn and walk away as fast as I can.
  
  Afterward I really feel bad, I should have walk up towards her and at least say ‘Hello’ or something like that.
  
  What will you guys do if you meet your ex with his/her new love?

  Were u walking alone?
  
  Did u U-turn because you dont want her to think you're single and alone without her...? And feel miserable...?
  
  Hmm... I'd walk up to my ex if I bum into her in the streets, even if she's with her current beau.

  I guess you are avoiding her.. For whatever reason I dunch know.. I suppose you could have said hi.. at least be non-chalant about it and suave.. Walking away like dat is a bit of a signal to the other person that you have lost.. not very dignified as a guy also..if you have broken up then too bad just carry on with life.. singapore is so small.. you nv know when u may bump into her again.. She already showed you that she has moved on.. so maybe you should to..

  I was walking alone. Actually I was quite shocked to see her. After breaking off never seen her for years. Then suddenly out of the blue she appear infront of me.
  
  All the sad memories suddenly all came back in that instant.
  
  We have really nothing to say. Maybe that's why I turn away. Anyway, I have almost forgot about her. Life goes on.
  
  One of my favourite song, i.e. Look Away, never fail to make me feel blue.

  Depends. Given a chance, I will never ever want to see her again. Especially when she is holding on to another guy's hand. I would not want to risk a struggle with my emotions.
  
  But then again, when I saw her back in my college 9 months ago, I smiled. She looked down and ignored my presence. She was alone at that time anyway.
  
  Given your situation, right now I would say I will walk up to her, give a smile and walk away trying not to think of anything else. At least, that smile is to reward myself for spending 2 years in overcoming her. And at least, I am still standing.

  I agree with wind.
  If I am in your shoes, deadpoet...I would probably give her a look which will peirce through her that says "I hope you are happier than me...but then if you aren't, I ain't feeling sorry for you anyway".

  Kena fine for littering for an ex. Not worth it man. I just hope I will not meet up with her ever again. Even if I smile, I would also feel awkward.

  I dont think you should walk away. If you donno what to talk to her then just act blur and walk past lor. You did nothing wrong to her, she should be the one who should turn. If i ever meet me ex again i'll walk up just to say hi lor. Cannot be lover still can be friend mah. Dont be sad lah, she should feel more paiseh instead of you.

  happened to me too... he was the one who broke up with me.. once when i saw him outside, he saw me yet he walked right past me n stood at the other end of the busstop... jus wonder sometimes how come u can b so close n become like strangers.. i was so sad dat i couldnt control my tears...

  The Leo in me will never run away from such scenario. Anyway, I don't feel a need to. In fact, come and think of it, if it was the other way round, had a feeling my ex will avoid instead unless our gaze meet.

  If u reali happen 2 bump into her n she oso happens 2 c u, dun walk away... Juz go up n say 'Hi' 2 her... U shdnt b avoidin her mah... Even if ur alone. B brave n face her, so she wont tink u cant live on well without her. Esp i read abt how she dumped u... Take it easy k?

  I don't mind to walk over and say 'hello' if it wasn't such a dramatic break off. Then again, the other day she avoided eye contact with me.... I understood well and just dismissed myself in her presence....

  Thanks guys for all the advice. Like I said, I actually long time never see her already. Thought time will heal the pain. After we broke off, I join the Army, ROD, and further my study, start to work, make new friends, etc.
  
  Thought I have get over her. Then suddenly out of the blue, appear in front of me, still as beautiful as ever, the woman I used to love so deeply, now with another man. In an instant, all the sad memories just flow back. Instinct tells me to turn away. I can never face her at the emotion state I was in at that point.
  
  Anyway, next time see her I will try my best to at least smile at her. Must be gentleman right.

  Er.. it is DeadPoet, not DeadPost, I actually intend to post some more.
  
  Or you can call me DP for short. I choose DeadPoet because I love that movie Dead Poet Society. I was also a Lit. student during my 'A'. So feel very close to the characters in the moive.
