Hi guys... this is an update abt my screwed up love life for those of u following. I spoke to my bf's brother a while ago and he told me that my bf says that he didn't tell me coz he didn't want me to know.. and he also told me to move on coz theres no point waiting for him. He thinks i'll be better off with someone else. I was so upset and angry when i heard that. He thinks i'm so shallow to just let him go overnight because he thinks its best for me? how wld he know? why can't he understand that i love him against all odds...?

He's actually very concerned about you but its just the wrong way and you misintepreted it.
Trust me on this, but he's heart is still very very with you. Cheer up.

think for yourself....it's your future...you dunno wat's lying ahead of you...you might say that you love him alot n he's the one for you...but imagine one day when you get married..is your future husband the one for you n you love him alot instead of your previous(current) bf? very contradicting...

Sometimes we get so upset tt we lose all reason, & we forget the intentions behind our partners' actions/words.
Ur bf probably means well, he probably thinks he may Not haf a gd future (Not true, btw) since he'll haf a criminal record after his release, & he thinks he'll Not be able to offer u much...
Hence, he might think u're better off without him, & it's Not cosh he thinks u're shallow.
Pls go & visit him to reassure him, I think ur bf probably feels really down @ the moment. Give him the strength to continue. Knowing tt u love him, is wat he needs most now.

I have read all ur posts reagarding ur bf and u. And I guess RP is rite for ur situation now. What ur bf need now is concern cos he is alone inside there. He couldnt bear to tell u the truth cos he is afraid to hurt u and couldnt bear for u to be hurt.
He is finding it diffcult to give u a better future based on hissituation now. So the best way to let him noe is to tell hom tt no matter wat u will stil love him and wait for him. Assure him. Mayb u can write a letter to him.
Like wat RP says, at times when we are upset, we lose all our reasonings. It may be getting tougher but rest assured u haf pairs of listening ears here in AA. =) So cheers up! At the end of the tunnel, there is light!

Why would he say that? I would tell you frankly about a man's love. Generally man are practical bunch of morons. They sees love as someone very much practical and therefore, your wait for him is seen as impractical to him. This is true if he share great amount of love for you because he doesn't want you to waste your time. In fact, you should be worrying when he says 'please wait for me.' (Ok lar, nothing wrong with that, but according to CloUdiSm, his love maturity didn't reach level of space and freedom - to possess is not happiness, to place empathy is.)
If I was your bf, I would say the same thing.
Ok, no doubt, his ego is damaged, reputation ruin, etc and by being with him, he will feel that you will be so 'wei qu'. He will think about what your parents may feel, your friends, etc.
Hey, he is thinking for you, but of course, you don't share similiar views because you are not in his position.
So how now?
Action speaks louder than words. Show your determination, your will, your discipline, your strength and most importantly: your love.

well the reason i was v. v upset when i heard that was the fact that he didn't think of giving it a chance. Just because of one big downfall, he wants me to get up and and walk away? doesn't he know how much his words hurt me. i mean at least try. i'm willing to wait and i have hope in him... no matter how long it takes but i need to know that he's with me. that he understands. anyway, his brother told me that he'll talk to him and i passed a msg saying that i intend to slap him twice when he gets out for even suggesting that!
