Unless you realise and experience a great lost due to your foul temper - usually the motivation is there to control, but isn't good enough. There are people who actually lose the ones they loved because of their temper - when they regret, its too late to reverse.
Now? Even if I were to punch them, they wouldn't hit me back, even if it was a friendly return.
One good suggestion is to walk away when your anger started brewing. If an argument is heating up, don't start blasting away. Count one to ten mentally before you speak. By allow time to think, your temper effectively reduce 50% the strength. People with foul temper often regret the things they say, because sometimes its' truely unpleasent, hurting and leave long lasting scars.
