Media makes our lives boring!

yea yea choice... choice can be influenced can't it? i dun understand why some of you people see it in such simple terms as your choice... yes it ultimately is...what i'm discussing is how media affects that choice. most of us out there aren't strong willed enough to just put their foot down and say "hey...i'm not gonna let the tv show tell me how i should live my life! oh...i've got gardening to do..how exciting!!"
see what i mean... you're all gonna prob think what a loser this guy is.. but hey he's strong willed enough to live life HIS way... but what of the rest of us who aren't blessed with this gift? -
if he's strong enough to live life his way, i think he'll be strong enough to not give a rat's ass to how other people think

Hehe.. anyway the point is.. Won't you already bored to begin with so you watch tv?
If you had something else to do.. such as those great examples you've given me. Read, drive, eat, sleep, talk etc.. why would the tv be on?? -
Well... Law of Relativity... Depends on how ya watch and what kinda life you're living...? Mentality...? Life you're living... OR life you're LEADING...? Some people take things down as just it is.. Some just make the necessary changes... Of course, there'll also be people who compare it with others (especially celebrities) and yes... TV programmes... Mentality? Sometimes to the extent that it all gets TWISTED UP.... Sometimes might actually end up a 'meaningless' thing... Or in their opinion 'meaningful' at the expense of many others....
It's our life you see...? It's the way we live...? How the media would affect one would depends on how the mentality of the individual? Just like the many other things which could be affecting him / her in life? -

Because it's a form of entertainment? (to some it could be more than that... The basis of information and entertainment sometimes overlaps and creates a blur picture...)
