see what i mean... you're all gonna prob think what a loser this guy is.. but hey he's strong willed enough to live life HIS way... but what of the rest of us who aren't blessed with this gift?
Well... Law of Relativity... Depends on how ya watch and what kinda life you're living...? Mentality...? Life you're living... OR life you're LEADING...? Some people take things down as just it is.. Some just make the necessary changes... Of course, there'll also be people who compare it with others (especially celebrities) and yes... TV programmes... And SOME might just wanna LEAD it....Originally posted by Farmer Brown:how often are our lives more interesting then TV....unless you watch only infomercials...i doubt our lives can be so exciting. haha.. i think if they actually follow me around and play it un cut...(except the toilet scenes of course, who would wanna see anyway???) i bet the whole lot of you will rather sit down and watch the sunpage IDD commercials over and over again...hahaha
That's life... It's happening all the time...Originally posted by Farmer Brown:yea yea choice... choice can be influenced can't it? i dun understand why some of you people see it in such simple terms as your choice... yes it ultimately is...what i'm discussing is how media affects that choice. most of us out there aren't strong willed enough to just put their foot down and say "hey...i'm not gonna let the tv show tell me how i should live my life! oh...i've got gardening to do..how exciting!!"

Because it's a form of entertainment? (to some it could be more than that... The basis of information and entertainment sometimes overlaps and creates a blur picture...) And people won't usually be asking 'how the tv is affecting me' as they're watching it....Originally posted by Lingos:Hello FB FB,
Hehe.. anyway the point is.. Won't you already bored to begin with so you watch tv?
If you had something else to do.. such as those great examples you've given me. Read, drive, eat, sleep, talk etc.. why would the tv be on??
Entertainment.. suggests you were bored to begin with.Originally posted by Devil1976:Because it's a form of entertainment? (to some it could be more than that... It doesn't make us bored... Boredom might be the initial stage we begin with (maybe? depending on the reason for watching the TV?)... TV's usually there to keep us entertained or informed...Originally posted by Lingos:Entertainment.. suggests you were bored to begin with.
Yes.. so they information and entertainment is blurred.. how does that make you boring?
