When u 1st start work, or start a new job, stress naturally occurs. Ur body & mind hafta cope wif the new environment, new colleagues, new ropes to learn, new superiors, etc. Thus, u're probably mentally tired.
Take the time to rest & enjoy the sleep. Soon, when u're used to ur new workplace or new work, u'll again enjoy the social scene : )

My job? I work in audit for one of the big 4 accounting firms.
Actually stories goes like this -
I got qualified a few years back in the firm then left for 2 years to go work in london and then came back to rejoin the firm. Everyone kept asking me "what would you ever want to go BACK into audit???" I guess having been away from it for 2 years, i kinda forgot how much it sucks!
Been here since the start of jan and totally hate my work. I worked in investment banking in london where it was a smaller team and better work environment, better pay, better life.
I'm thinking about quitting my job but its not going to look good on my CV! Oh and not to mention i did a terrible F8ck up on one of my jobs.... now i have absolutely no confidence in myself and whats worst is i cant turn to anyone for help because i am already at a senior level where its expected of me to know all the answerS!!!!
definitely need a new life.
i envy u.....really...bt nvm i will work hard to achieve it.. -

mayb u can take up some relaxin course like play piano or guitar...i think when reach workin life is lidat....everyday work work go hm slp nex day work work go hm slp ..haha... sg nth much to play...anyway u can go learn dancing aso mah like those social dance or hip hop dance
or go learn cookin v fun aso...anyway dn worry nw u join sgforums u made a gd choice..here often have outings..u can join .....all v frenly ppl 1.......then u made new frens...or weekend go cheong lor.....then go know a gf and then ur life will surely b more busy liaoz -

that time when am working, i also like that. work form 3 pm to 11.30 pm. go back sleep, wake up then it's work again. muz work during weekends too and public holidays..so sian..
luckily,it's only a temp job so i left aft two months plus..
but now need to find another temp job..am feeling even more sian. -

It appears that you do have one big challenge ahead of you, namely overcoming whatever went wrong in the past. Is it possible that what you are feeling is not a lack of purpose, but instead apprehension of the amount of work that lies ahead fo you? -

Nothing went wrong in the past... if there was anything that went wrong, i wouldnt have been given the opportunity to go back to my old firm..... my job in london was a 2 year contracting role.Originally posted by Gedanken:Aargon, why did you leave the London job?

my biggest problem is that because i have gone back into the audit profession, and realise upon returning what a big mistake it was, i cant just quit because people will ask me "well why did you go back into audit in the first place??" and i cant think of a good enough reason to answer that question... it was just an easy option for me i guess.
Sorry i probably sound spoit, i know most people would love to be working for my firm and i know all my friends are envious of my career and past, but it all means nothing if at the end of the day, I am unhappy....
