  not a very easy thing to do.. tried that but still drift apart.. my current gf also tried to maintain friendship with ex als very difficult.. think its a mentality that has to affect both sides

  It depends on the situation. When the ex has behaved wif dignity, then yesh, I'll still remain frens wif him. If the ex hasn't, then why shd I?

  Well, what I can suggest is to never forget about your exs... but to embrace and cherish the good ol times you had with each ex and forget all the bad times.
  
  In the end, knowing that either one of you, you or your ex who wanted an end to the relationship, was for the better as you cannot force one or yourself to love that a person. Ditto?

  can't be stead still can be fren wat.Depends on whether the other party mind anot loh.Already it's hard to forget him/her so why not make the most of the situation and just be frens?

  but for most cases .... ppl will chose nt to remain as frd
