Yesh, it's human nature to be superficial sometimes, we're visual creatures afterall. But when there's true love, thgs like height cease to matter. Thgs like "gd job" cease to matter. Wat matters, is whether tt person can love u wholeheartedly, & whether u can do the same : )

it's a comment passed by a friend and my observation on the streets seems to concur with this comment.
it's easy for anyone to post on an online forum to say that it's "superficial" or it's dependent on "how much you love her" but reality reflects otherwise..
besides gals would very much prefer someone taller because they "feel" more secure. maybe this doesnt make sense but isnt this what most gals genuinely feel? -

You are right, girls prefer taller guys, or at least similiar height, and there are numerous reasons. People stare, some others gossip. Can the couple take the unsubconscious pressure? It is different from age because differences in age cannot be seen, while height is an obvious issue.
If security is the main issue, there are other ways to give her the kind of 'secured' feel. My friend's bf is shorter than her, but he is damn fit.
In love, we can't have everything. We make use of what we have to create what we don't have.

as much as i agree with you, it is undeniable that we are in the society and we are also part of the society. to remain indifferent to the standards perceived by the society requires enormous courage which i'm sure not everyone can surmount
