Typical helplines are all well and good in there intentions however when you need them the most they are bloody uselessOriginally posted by knnbeh:tried Family Service Centre when I have a problem with my marriage.
called on a weekday at about 6:00pm
they say there is no one able to help me now as it is end of the day, call back tomorrow or visit the centre.
did not call, that night I was standing at the edge of 40th floor.
did not have the courage to et go my hand, end up in IMH with a help of my friend.
I think the number is good to know, but not necessary dial by the one in trouble. might work better to be dial by the supportive friend as the one in trouble will not able to think proper.

For one thing, we girls like expressive boys.
Oh, and this is GREAT.

Seems u have a very kind heart to reach out to those who r troubled or thinking of ending their lives. I am also one of those too . last few years ago, i was very very depressed that i actually committed suicide on few occasions but yet i ended up in hospital n the hopsital actually reported to the police abt my attempted suicide. I hate those doctors for reporting to police but later i realised it was for my own good. then i underwent lots of counsellings sessions with my former church counsellers til one year plus. So now i am feeling better for soem times but again i am getting more frustrated with my current marital problem.Originally posted by Devil1976:Easier for people to access... Thought of letting people post all the help lines and such in this thread...
Maybe? It's a chance to take... Somehow I feel calling 995 might hold a higher chance...?Originally posted by udontknowme:when in a real emergency, can one call 999 for help???
lets say someone who is suicidal doesnt know the SOS hotline...and calls 999 instead...will the police bother to help??![]()
