u see, i dont want to buy it and then it becomes a source of trouble for me. it's a matter of buying it with whose money, but i do hope in the process, at least no one gets angry. that's what i am trying to advocate. i feel that i just wanna show him some respect that's all. i also dunno whether have i done it at all. because whenever i go out, i have to tell him where i am going, with whom, what time to waht time etc. and most of the time he approves.Originally posted by Gedanken:I don't see what the problem is, biz. If it's your money, he's got no say, so why bother agruing? If it's his money, it's his say, so why bother arguing?
what i meant is i told him like out of respect. i didnt seek his opinion because i know waht i want to buy.Originally posted by littlebeaker:Since you said you asked his opinion out of showing respect, and he adviced you not to. So then, maybe you should listen to him?
to me he USED to. just kidding.Originally posted by Gedanken:So lemme make sure I get this straight - your dad's a photography enthusiast as well, but he prefers 35mm to digital? Also, he's got a 35mm SLR with a series of lenses?
i based my decision to get d70 on the views and reviews on clubsnap and find it's a good budget cam. of course if i want a everything also good cam i might as well get a D2h or EOS1d mark II fitted with L lens from 10.5 to 1200mm ? just kidding.Originally posted by ~AiTaiYuan~:out-of-cam dslr images require more PS than prosumer cams..
yes, you have your hotshoe for external flashes, low noise at high iso, considerably shorter shutter lag and so on..
but what if after getting your D70, you realised that you are constantly getting underexposed pics, saturation is also under and you need PS to correct the pics? Are you going to sell the D70 and look for another cam?
worse still, you find that the kit lens or other consumer lens that you can afford doesn't perform up to your expectations. Are you going to spend a few more thousand to get the DX or VR lenses?
maybe you want to consider a slr? after all the dynamic range is much better and the whites dun get blown out so easily =P
try asking someone in CS to post some D70 + kit lens (or other dslr + consumer lens) without PS..out-of-cam pics resized to 600x400 and nothing else. Maybe you will reconsider your choice.Originally posted by bismarck:i based my decision to get d70 on the views and reviews on clubsnap and find it's a good budget cam. of course if i want a everything also good cam i might as well get a D2h or EOS1d mark II fitted with L lens from 10.5 to 1200mm ? just kidding.
