I'm in a fix. My best friend borrowed my guitar and gadget for the past month. I want it back. Recently, I told him I need it back and he keeps 'promising' (that's what he said) to return me the next few days. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. Then, every mssg I sent him (sms), he never replied and every call I made he never picked up. I have a feeling he wants to 'keep it'. You see, we no longer at same school. And I need it this week for a jamming session. But he keeps ignoring me!!!! What should I do? Report it to police or fight it out?
I dun think telling his mum is sort of immature. If he doesnt know how to keep his promises and return other ppl's things, I think its time someone should teach him abt it. THe best person will be his parents of cos.Originally posted by taychon S:I aprreciate ur help guys but right now I'm 17 and it'll be a bit too childish to complain it to his mom. But i think option 1 is better. But a bigger complication is he said that my guitar were at his friend's house near his school, temasek JC. Tha's another problem.
go to his home and confront him, if he still say its at his friends' home, nvm go home firstOriginally posted by taychon S:I aprreciate ur help guys but right now I'm 17 and it'll be a bit too childish to complain it to his mom. Originally posted by taychon S:U cannot go report police. u can only sue by civil law and it can be done only if there is a promissory note sign by both of you when u lend to him. else.....there is no intention to create legal relations, thus u can't sue him. unless he admit on court that there is a verbal agreement between u both. but do u think he so stupid???

Yup. I think by doing all these should be enough to take legal actions liao..?Originally posted by Thailand_Hero:this kind of feller don't give you face...i suggest you dont give him face either. if i were you...i just go right up to his home at night when hes in and demand back my guitar. If he don't give you just let him keep his guitar...but make him pay for it in other ways....
house windows = $400
burn door = $250 - 500
break his power line = $150
snip his phone wire = $25
etc...
make him pay for it months and months...and i promise he will beg to be let off.
That is really foolish. He'll probably be the one reporting you to the police instead.Originally posted by Thailand_Hero:this kind of feller don't give you face...i suggest you dont give him face either. if i were you...i just go right up to his home at night when hes in and demand back my guitar.
