Parents of the rich ger will dislike the poor guy's background. Hence, parents will disapprove and nag at the ger...
Parents of the poor guy will dislike the rich ger as they will think she is too high class for their poor son. Parents would want poor guy to be with poorer girl, more simple, more willing to do house work, etc. Hence, parents will disapprove and want to poor guy to go out with a poorer girl instead. -
i'm not consider as rich but at least well to do
umm.. my bf isn't rich and trying hard to earn a living, well.. my dad likes him alot.. so i don't think every richie rich will look down or dislike poor ones..

if the guy can stand firm against all finger-pointing on him for loving the gal for her $ (regardless whether it is true or not)
and
if the gal can tahan the guy's financial capacity (not a materialistic gal),
then should be able work out..

People get together 'cause they love each other, not 'cause of their wealth. Dun nid to be rich in order to find rich gurls. No need to be rich to find rich guys also wat...if the other person love you, money is only a *extra* factor.
*Not considering that some gurls look for guys that is filthy rich but they ( gurls) dun love them.*

Had an ex gf who was very rich. Her dad owns 5 listed cos. Super rich. But her parents loved me. But it's tough n stressful on me. Really wanted a normal life but she's too rich liao. Everything is cheap to them. Buy car also pay in full. In our 1st month her parents r already talking about marriage....damn stress! Not dat I cannot settle down, just think it's too early for us in just one month. Her dad even agreed to pay for the whole wedding...kaoz.....
Felt a bit out of my league. Like going into another world. Where all the ppl I've ever known will nvr be able to enter. Stress. Go her office is like to showcase who I am. "Here comes the son-in-law".....
I got nothing against rich gal poor guy but as long as both r comfortable n ok wif the arrangements, then dun give a damn to wat ppl say. Guess my problem was dat I preferred to be the provider....
Anyway she treated me very well n her family are not arrogant ppl. She's the only child so eventually the biz is gonna be hers. But I just wanna be Forrest Gump. Simple fool.

i tink it all boils down to the culture and upbringing of each party...
if the family have the mindset of those "men dang hu dui" thing, then naturally problem will occur, might not be from the gf or bf, it's from the parents...
