Foreign Wife...?

  Hi,
  was wondering, wat one must do in order to bring back say his wife to singapore, to live together...
  As in, wat are the procedures in order they can become husband n wife in singapore...getting pr for the wife...how to go about it...my friend was asking me this, but didn't know where to get answer for him...

  Will need to apply to ICA
  
  Officers from ICA will check whether your spouse will be a burden or asset to the economy of singapore. If they do not have much skills/education, ICA will determine whether you have enough financial power to support your spouse.

  Besides, I did qualify my statement as a generalisation, which inherently admits room for exceptions.
  
  Also, generalisations are in fact instrumental to cultivating perceptions and views, without which a person will not have a starting point to develop his/ her thoughts.

  I am just wondering, IF its easier,
  
  if the partner is from a non-conventional country ( NOT, THai,PRC,Viet, Aust,US, Malaysia)
  
  will it be easier??? , Her part of the world is not exactly developed, but its not exactly supplying singapore with tons of Immigrants either.
