but i believe all relations should be built on trust.
there may be times when even though u think the person is lying, u haf to trust him/her.
rather than constantly look out for lies, we should encourage telling of the truth.
but if there is a certain barrier between the parties, such that one always feels a compulsion to lie, then there is probably a need to examine the communication and the relation betw them. -
well, if its a lie, i guess there's must be a reason to do so too... i mean, who doesn't want to speak the truth?

lie to make me feel better ... was quarelling juz now ... so tries to calm me down and plead at me .. not to do anything wild ... is she doing something truthful?

If a lie can avoid necessary trouble, i will gladly tell a lie, but, i will also make sure the other party will never know that's a lie....

in the end u haf to decide on how u see her intention of lying - whether its to protect u, protect herself, or protect the relation.
and also whether this is a perennial problem, on and off, or just once in a while.
if u think shes hiding something i think the best is to let her know. and try to talk about it, rather than having bad feelings inside. -
