And so my story continues...you guys wanted something longer right? Well, you're getting it right here.

Chapter 5:
I Really Want This Night To Last Forever. We bought some drinks before we settled down at somewhere quieter. I looked up at the clear sky; it was filled with stars. I was fascinated by such a view and how I had been oblivious to these shining objects all the while.
I guess that we reach points in our life when we are ready for new information. Until then, something can be staring us in the face but we don't see it.
Nonetheless, it was a marvellous sight to behold.
We chatted for hours about almost every topic we could cover under the stars. It seemed that she was quite an easy-going person. It served to make me feel comfortable in her presence quickly. Through this, I also got to know her much better, I learnt that she had been abroad studying for 2 years. And had just come back to Singapore about a week ago. Apparently, her request to tag along was kind of like an excuse, as she was not familiar with the area. But never mind I'm savouring every moment of it like it's some kind of delicacy.
Character wise, I feel that she's got a dash of liveliness, seasoned with a sprinkle of playfulness, traits that I like. For some reason, I felt drawn to her charm, maybe it's what you can call love. So maybe opposites do attract after all, I thought to myself. After all, people often say I'm shy and quiet. But there's much more than meets the eye right?
Just then, Mint tugged at my sleeve.
"Look!" She pointed to the sky. A bright object flew across the sky. A shooting star!
"Quick!" I said. "Make a wish." We clasped our hands for awhile. I wished that Mint would be my girlfriend. Such wishful thinking. But who knows? Maybe fate will turn the wheel of fortune around for me and we'll end up been together?
"What did you wish for?" I broke the silence a minute later.
Instead of getting an answer, I was asked back.
"Go figure." Mint said mysteriously. "So what was yours?"
Oh no. This question has an answer that isn't even supposed to be revealed. I hesitated for a few moments.
"Not telling you." I replied smiling mischievously.
"Hey. Cannot like that lah you." Mint poked my side repeatedly. I burst out in laughter as it really tickled.
"So now I know your weakness. Haha, you better tell me..." She chased after me playfully.
When all the fun had ended, I looked at the time. It was already 2a.m.
"It's getting late. I need to get home soon." Mint said, it was almost as if she sounded unwilling to part with me. The tone of her voice couldn't have been mistaken. Or was it just my imagination?
I wished that she could stay longer. At least watch the sunrise together with me or something. Oh well, her parents must be worried about her, so I think we better go.
"Will you escort me home Clint?" She asked.
"Of course. I won't be able to sleep tonight if anything happens to you." I said confidently.
We hailed a cab before we headed towards her home.
"You free tomorrow night?" This question made my mind whirl in anticipation and delight.
"Yeah. What's up?" I asked curiously. Mint grinned at the sound of my reply.
"Well, I'm having a little gathering and I thought maybe you'll like to come?" She added.
By now I was dizzy with joy. Another chance for me to get closer to you, I thought to myself. I could picture the little devils floating around my head, rubbing palms gleefully. Oops, better not get carried away.
"Of course." It sure was hard to mask the joy in my voice. "I'll definitely turn up."
"Ok then, 6pm at my place then. Be there or be square." She winked.
"Oh ya, before I forget, thanks for everything tonight. It was great."
With that she waved goodbye and went into the lift. Every step towards home was filled with the thought of Mint. So this is what love is? To constantly think of the special person? Well, the last time I ever had this feeling was quite some time back when I was still with EveÂ…
