It very much takes his own determination (if he's a genuine case?) to overcome the matter and source for help... If he thinks that he has already chosen his path and resigned to it as should be, there's little we can do about it too. Anyway, it's his freedom. Boyish Love or not, he's still go into it with other people if he really wants to.
