Once upon a time, there was a teacher and his student lying down under a big tree near a big grass area. Then, suddenly, the student asked the teacher,
Student: Teacher, I'm confused, how can we find our soul-mate? Can you please help me?
Teacher: (Silent for few second, than he answer) Well, it's a pretty hard and easy question.
Student: (Thinking hard) Huh?
Teacher: Look on that way, there are a lot of grass there, why don't you walk there but please never walk backward, just walk straight ahead. On your way, try to find a beautiful grass and pick it up then give it to me. But just one.
Student: Well, ok then, wait for me. (Walked straight ahead to the grass field)
A few minutes later
Student: I'm back.
Teacher: Well I don't see any beautiful grass on your hand.
Student: On my journey, I found few beautiful grasses, but I thought that I would find a better one, so I didn't pick it up. But I didn't realize that I'm at the end of the field, and I hadn't picked up any. Because you told me not to go back, so I didn't go back.
Teacher: That's what happened in real life.
What is the message of this story?

* Beautiful Grass - is people that attract you
* Grass Field - is time*
In looking for your soul mate, please don't always compare and hope that there will be a better one. By doing that, you'll waste your lifetime, cause remember "Time Never Goes Back".

Hoping allows us to move on optimistically.
Anyway, if you have grasses around you. There are options, and there will be bound to be competition and options, which hinders your selection.
The point here is not only to keep walking. In everything there's a season,
A season to stop to enjoy the smell, sight, breeze.
A season to look intensely and reflect onto self.
A season to know which direction to take.
A season to seek.

actually, it's also not wrong to be insatisfied with so many opportunities. As we grow up in life, we have different desires, different needs, and different wants. From young, we want someone who can take care of us, that's our dear mother, later our soulmate are friends who around us.. then we want someone we can try a relationship with, when we meet our 'first love'. Then we want someone whom we think we can be married with and settle down for life. Then sometimes we realise, there's someone else who can treat us better. As mortality is decreasing with the advancement of science, I would say that it's hard to stay with a partner and not change your heart for the whole 50 to 70 years...
Even then, our friends would come and go... Somewhere I heard on a radio, we will always have friends forever, but not always have forever friends.
Rather than brood over what is missing in our life, why can't we be happy that we have this moment to spend with the grass which we feel is the best?? At least you know that it's a time well spent, and you'll be happier, rather than being bogged down to find the ultimate soulmate, which is taking your happiness by failing to find it. Whether this grass is the most beautiful or not at the end, but at least you have cherish the moment it's in your hands. -

I assume slipping away is means beyond your control.. Even it is not, at least do whatever you can when you still have the blade of grass with you. At the end of the day, even if it slips away, you can tell yourself you have tried to save it, and not having to regret blaming yourself that you should have done this or that.
