This has nth to do with BGR. ( I'm only in sec scho0l, not so good-looking, so I don't intend to go into that anywhere in the near future etc..)
I'm an avid player of Duel Monsters, or what people call Yu-gi-oh and I have a serious problem that does sorta involve this game but it is not ABOUT this game.
First I got to say I'm on a different level from those people playing outside MRT stations.., in Bishan etc.., I'm on a competitive level and I have won some small tournaments.
Everytime I lose, i get this sharp pain on my chest, I feel like I'm going to die lyke that. I can't concentrate for the remainding of that day until I sleep and forget everything. Sometimes while playing, I get seriously high fever and cold sweet. Then after a few hours, the fever subsides and I become normal again. Sometimes I wonder whether it's because I'm stressed.
This happen when I'm playing Warcraft frozen throne, I just started a few months ago and I can't stand even one lose record on battle.net. For those pple who play,. you would know that it is quite difficult to get a no lose record while fighting against players with more experience. But once I lose, I will start a new account, the same cycle repeats and I sulk the whole day..etc..
When I'm playing the game ( duel monsters ), i totally forget about food, my welfare etc...I can go out a day at about noon and come back at 10 without eating anything at all. I feel as if 1 second has passed only. Then I get totally drained from all the thinking, playing..., and sometimes I think I'm going to faint.
I have also totally lost the interest to play with common-ers, those people I think they are too " normal " for me to duel with. I always play ante match against a person who is extremely strong, ( people usually do the opposite ), and even if I lose, I feel happy.
I think something is wrong with me...

I suggest you see a shrink regarding this, especially if it is affecting your lifestyle, health and overall well-being.
P.S: [b]In life you can't always win. Sometimes, you need to lose in order to win. You must evolve your mindsets or scenarios in the future could kill you.

'Addicted' is the word.Originally posted by Scape_Goat_Token:Thanks for all the advices but I think that for myself to quit this game is impossible at the present moment.
Whenever I imagined myself losing, I will eventual lose the game. So i was just thinking I can't be always imagining myself losing.
This game is very thrilling, like you don't know when you're gonna lose or win, ( most games are like that, right? ), and when I eventually lose, yes, I can admit defeat, but I can't just get over it.
I think there is a thin line between admitting defeat and can't get over a lost. I feel lost. Whenever I tell myself, " it's just a game", i get haunted by the repeating scene of the lost. I just remember the entire way I lost. Thinking, if i did this at that time, what will happen etc.., and when I keep on thinking until, " If I did this, I could have won"..i feel the ache in my heart..
haizz...since school is reopening tommorow, i think the days i would go out and play are only on weekends perhaps. hopefully, things will get better.
Failure is the mother of all sucess!![]()
I'm quite agreeable with this.Originally posted by Magnus:'Addicted' is the word.
Yeah. Try to do other things and moderate your gaming.
If this goes on, you will need professional help.
