  juz asking anyone of your bf/gf will always say 'i love you' (without fail) before hanging up the phone?
  well, i have a problem here..everytime when me and my bf about to hang up da phone, he's always da one to say tiz 3 words..sumtimes i realli dun haf da mood to say it loh, when i ask him whether can i dun say it..he'll sound unhappy which he denied of..
  i realli dun see the point of saying it every now and then..sooner/later, it'll b like routine sentence..
  any1 of u out there encounter tiz problem..?

  everyday say become no meaning liao....
  say oni during special occassions or settings.....mus be sincere from the heart......

  relax.. haha.. b4 hanging up e fon.. my bf do always say e three words to me.. budden i din sae it everytym la.. nt everytym lo.. if i din sae it, he wun b angry lyk ya bf lo.. um.. perhaps u shud try explaining it to him.. and et him noe tt u din sae it.. nt because u dun luv him.. but u dun wan e 3 special words to bcum juz lyk a normal word.. without any meaning lidat.. tell him tt.. i m sure he will understand de.. cheer up..

  just like what u post.. just let him know that there's no point saying it everyday and turning that meaningful 3 words into a pointless routine sentence...
  if he insist then it seems like he's very possesive.. at least u know he loves u more then u loves him

  If you love someone, tell him/her, say it often, and mean it everytime. There is nothing to gain if you save on those words.

  If you really have to say it back to him, just say it back lor. He is feeling insecure...probably he don't felt loved by you recently and started feeling insecure. Have you been neglecting him recently? Have a talk with him and assure him that you still love him...usually he just wants to know that you still love him, that's all.

  People have different views.
  
  I feel it's perfectly normal to say it at the end of every call if that was exactly how I felt at that time.The magic words should come from the heart and I don't believe in losing the meaning of the words because of overuse.

  hmm i think not necessary to sae it everinite.. think probabli to him its a form of security.. mabe shud ask him the rationale he has behind doin that routinely after everi call.. if its some stupid rationale den u shud bring across to him wat u think is the meaning behind saeing those words..

  After so many post commenting about your case.
  
  I'm interested to know if any incident caused you not to say it?
  Why don't you want to say it? Not that you should always use 'I Love You'
  But what made you think that it's a routine?
  
  My guess
  - There were several encounters of r/s and this is your new bf
  - Getting bored, relationship has gone on for too long
