For ur parents??? Touch wood... I mean, how far could u go to tak care of ur parents when they r old???
Give up ur job to tak care of them?
Throw them in a nursin home?
Employ a maid to tak care of them?
Eg, they r incontience, mus ways change pampers... Then hmm... Need feed them by the tube... They kinda of stroke... cAnnot move...

I dunno... If it really happens, either i will quit n tak care or employ a maid... I dunno... All i can say is tat u tak care of an eldery requires alot of patience, care, strength...
Coz i m in nursin... Seen lots of such pts, n feel v sad... It is really not easy... For the family...

I will take care of them.
They have taken care of me for so long.
I should do something for them too.
They ain't heavy...They are my parents! -
As far as I'm required to go 2 see dem wel-fed & clothed.....wateva is needed 2 maintain their well-being.....tot its d same 4 evryone?

i believe u had been thru alot and seen alot of examples
but no matter wad they are the one who let u come to this world n take care of since u r born and i believe that it's our turn to show them our gratitude n take care of them now

contrary to belief, a nursing home may not be such a bad thing...
what they have is expertise which we will never even hope to be able to have... they can take care of our folks better than we ever can...
only our hubris will tell us that we have to "look after our folks" and "not throw them" in a nursing home.. when we are hopelessly inadequate for the task...
what we then need to do is to be there for them, let your folks know that we still love them and am doing that for their good and hopefully, one day when they're better, they can come home, instead of a steady deterioration at home....
sometimes, love is counter-intuitive...
it may seem heartless and hard, but we do the best we can.. the hell with the rest of society who do know less than nothing and are quick to judge
that is how far some of us are willing to go -

Well will definately look after them with the help of a maid. It is not a bad idea to put them in a nursing home cos the good ones have fulltime doc & nurses to look after them. They have tv, physiotherapy & good nutritional food. Home care is difficult if u don't have the expertise. It is not easy to dress wounds, clean the patient without additional help.

Sometimes u met those horrid one... Do until bek chek tat kind... U dunno how rough they can get...
Esp if the pt is uncommuncative... How to complain? -
Always told my parents that they have to take care of themselves. Keeps them on the toe and pay attention to their own health and wealth.
Better to say all the evil things then to promise the world and cannot deliver.
But they know I am always the one to seek if they really need anything. Most of the time, they just need someone to talk to and feel they are still useful. Old people needs to be loved more than anyone else.
