Job problem

Btw 80min is nothing, ever try 180min or 3hours travelling time, 1hours or so in MRT, 30 min in bus and another 45min in ferry + the waiting time. haha 80min is really nothing man. -

hey man! I faced the same situation as u 4 month back....fyi, I went for a few interviews & waited for a 2 weeks...I grab the first job offer & I would say so far ok....but during my first few weeks in my new jobs, there is co. which keep calling me down for interviews....I would say the prospect is better than the current co tat I am workin now...
Wat I would suggest, if u can afford to wait, why not? Giv yrself more chances, u yrself will know wat job is best for u.
Anyway I am now stuck w this job waiting to pass time, get my experiences & knowledge b4 jumping to another ship.....

tokin about job i got mine own prob too.
my current job is fine but i just hate the immediate person i am reporting to.
always tellin ppl around him he busy but in fact he is freed of many burdens with me backin him up on many manual jobs.
look, i am a polytechnic graduate (definitely higher educated than him) but i do not mind on the floor hands on jobs at times ( i am in the production related field) but this guy just made me keep on doing all his sh it job!
my other higher level superior (also the one who interviewed me) encouraged me to work towards a higher level (in the sense of employing more soft skills) but i can see that i do not have a chance to gradually expose myself to such improvements at all, so long as i stay in this department/ work directly under this guy i am forced to report to directly!.
really i hated him since the first day i was interviewed (he joined in the session later), from his words i can see that he knows nuts about plating and surface treatment. By now he is knowing more by askin everytime he blunders.
one quick method to solve this problem is to get the plated part certified with a COC - anything wrong just produce the cert, can do.
sometimes i wonder why an experienced (he has to be coz he is older and more senior than me) man like him will fail to make this one out?! -
Well I have finally mustered enough courage to quit my current job n move on to this new job. I hope i can cope in the new environment well. But somehow I feel insecure over there. What if I cant perform over there n they wanna sack me?

frankly speaking the group i am working with now belongs to the "dead".
"dead" - equals ppl who cannot or find it very hard to get a job outside that can fetch them the big fat salaries they are drawing now.
can see and sense that no former trainings are provided for me to perform other tasks outside the 'shit' job which i am doing everyday!
in fact i search for answers all by myself most of the time coz asking yields no results - i either get no answers or get untrue answers. i contribute (coz i have accumulated big fat experiences from my past employment) more than i learn!
