feel being let down...pls help me

my best friend has casted me aside for her newfound boyfriend. i am so pissed with her. before she has a bf, we used to do everything together and she much depended on me. now, she simply casts me aside. why? what have i done wrong? i have always and will forever put her interests over mine. what have things turn out this way? i feel so disheartened. this is affecting me so much that i can't carry on with the daily activities of my life. please help me.

everytime i msg her, she take ages to reply and when she finally reply, it is always monosyllabus answer. she used to invite me over her place very often, now she doesn't even bother to ask me in when i sent her home. i feel very very hurt. i can't sleep at night and have been depending on alcohol to sleep. is is affecting me badly. i don't wish to seek out my old friends because i don't want them to have the idea that i seek them out only when i need help. i am really desperate. i feel so lonely that i have even resorted to installing icq in the hope of finding some penpals. sad case, huh?

May I ask how old are you? Many people be it guys or gals.. When they are attached, they tend to throw their frens, good frens etc aside.. Its not surprise esp when they wanna spend most of their time with their bf/gf.. I believe the friendship is still there.. There is no such thing as looking back for old frens and they will think you look for them when in need.. Honestly, in my view, i find it a very lame and stupid way of thinking..

Your first post came in 12 March 2004 in Aunt Agony regarding this best friend of yours. Obviously, you still continue the route you originally walked and still habour expectation over your so called 'best friend'.
I have said before; you are maintaining an illusionary status of her being your best friend. If you are so affected over her current relationship, it's seriously questioning about your almost-definite liking for her. Remove that self-proclaimed status - what are you to her, left?
Merely a causal friend.
Why self-proclaim? What is the definition of 'best'? Do you seriously think that she share the same sentiment as you?
What does it takes for you to wake up?
P.S: By the look of it, you will probably only learn until the day she left your life completely.

best frens dun throw their fren aside when they haf a new gf/bf just to spend time on the r/s. i find it lame when pple do this, because it's just ... LAME.
anyways just move on, and one fine day when she breaks up with tt guy, and she has no frens to talk to, she's gonna regret dumping u aside. -
U have become dependent on her. Best friends does not mean u own her & she has to spend every min. with u.
Can phone her to catch up with each other once in a while. She will get married & move on. Learn to make new friends. No harm calling old friends/sch. mates to chit chat -
