  hey netizens
  
  would like to hear from your opinions or views on this: Is there really room for singaporeans to pursue one's passion in such a practical society like this?
  
  R you currently happy with your job? is that te job you desire most? hmmm... seems like most of us are subconsciously workign for the sake of just working...

  there is....
  
  opportunities are there, u jus have to set ur mind to it and grab it when it comes.....
  there mus be a lot of determination and courage....and the drive and motivation........
  
  i have seen many ppl breaking away from the norm and pursuing wat they relli want (yes, in singapore) and happy with their decision....

  Depends on what u planning to do bah??? Depend on ur character??
  
  I hate studying but still have to do it....
  or don't study, work and gain experience....
  
  The path of uncertainity and adventures await for me or horror??
  
  most importantly , live ur life happily and don't live it with regret....

  I couldn't agree more than what you have said about live your life happily & don't live it with regret. I guess most importantly is we need to ask ourself what is the compelling reason for taking the plunge!
  
  According to those professional they believe we human has certain factors that will deviate us away from trying such Habit, Environment, Belief and Dreams.... such element will hold us from trying. If only you could change your habit, the environment & belief then your dream will be achievable.

  Yes, if u are not concern abt. wealth & going after the 5Cs.
  There are people who gave up their prof. jobs to become artists, writers or start small business. Can still survive but won't be very rich unless u are lucky that yr hobby/invention can make money or u are so good in yr field that people wants u.
  U have to take the challenge & try- that is how entrepreneurs are made

  i try to take it as a blessing that i haven't been able to find work as an engineer since my graduation, while quite a few of my friends have. i try to see it as an opporutnity for me to explore other more exciting options, where work would not revolve round a PC. hopefully one day i'll do something amazing with my life, and i'm still thinking what it can be.

  someone just voiced this last night over dinner, and i find it very very true
  
  jobs like a painter, barber, builder are looked down upon here .... (most of the time). in angmoh countries, they are well appreciated
  
  one very good example ..... why do angmohs call them builders and we call them construction workers????
  
  and one more thing .... i think asians have set the priority wrong. we seem to place priority on material things and angmohs place more importance workmanship (generalizing here ...) but, a bad thing comes out of that, workmanship is damn expensive in angmoh countries ...

  primary school
  secondary school
  teritary studies
  further studies/find work
  settle down
  find partner
  have kids
  slog
  retire at 60 ++
  take care of ur grandchildren
  die.....
