  For guys like me. When i ask anyone's number, not neccessarily means i am interested in them for gf material, e.g. i view giving numbers as friendship gesture, so u can keep in contact, that's the basic thing, so when they know of exciting stuff they let u know, same thing u know any exciting stuff u also let them know, stuff like that.
  
  But, the romance part comes LONG LONG after the phone number part. So giving number does not equal to romance gf/bf stuff necessarily.. Giving numbers is a casual thing. What matters romantically is WHAT the guy does with the number lol, and what he says when he telephones
