i do know a fren who ( she was my classmate) ....i heard....was raped by her "bf" who is actually in his 30s while my fren was 17,she never get to complete her high school studies .....everybody knows her story,even our teachers know
her mum n my mum r sorta frens,n my mum always tells me to beware of such men
i remembered that theres once i saw my fren in a kopitiam,n i looked at her big tummy ,didnt stared for long coz i know it was darn rude
then months later,that fren got married to that guy (very ham sap looking),i dislike that guy immediately,which was rumored that that marriage was arranged just for that unborn child.honestly speaking,i know her body was not fit as she always fall sick n have frequent pains (stomach aches etc etc) .Her parents struggle to support the family as her dad has low income while her mother is just a housewife.
*sigh*,anyways,i hope to c how life's been for her when i do return home,i wanna meet the baby (i was told its a boy)

sadly, financial issues, there's MCYS or whatever MCDS calls themselves these days to render assistance, and in singapore, no matter how you look at it, you will NOT starve to death if you are hardworking...
sounds like an excuse to take the easy way out, and uncaring of the baby they brought into this world...

She can report to the police.. I rather she not keep the baby.. well.. you as a friend must really support her all the while.. I dunno the whole story about it.. but for waht i feel is that this guy doesn't love her.. i guess responsibility is what everyone should have... i have a friend, married becoz she was pregnant with her boyfriend's baby, they got married. she gave birth to a girl and later a boy... but 2 years down, her husband went for another woman who is quite rich and is able to give him money. he wants to file for separation and then divorce but does not pay her monthly allowances... she has to support her 2 children on her own with her family's help... she's only 26 this year... i think her future is 'ruined' in a sense that she has to be tied down by her children... but looking on the bright side, she'll be a happy mother once her children grows up i think... -
Yup, maybe it crashes with your values and does not agree with what u stand for.
Under your classmate's & her family's circumstances & limitations, they choose the most amicable solution that pleases 'everyone' or even an easy way out.

IMHO, these kind of relationships seldom last. Keep the baby, dump the guy.
Better to do it now than regret it later.
If this sicko guy can rape this 17 year old girl, he's may do it to someone else in the near future.
I have a friend, 18 this year, many times attached to those 28 to 30 year old guys... end up breaking up after sex.. she doesnt mind it.

and for my fren's case,yeah,her parents arranged all that for her,and she didnt dare to say anything becoz she felt guilty and already in deep shame for the incidence,in my country,everybody knows everybody...so there,they got married b4 the arrival of their baby boy
