  It depends on how close u r wif ur frend.
  if you dun say, u will feel that u let ur frend down.
  if you say, if things turn out otherwise, you will feel bad too.
  either way, it will put u in a spot.
  
  but then if u really treat ur frend as a frend, then I tink u shud tell him.

  Dun tell him.
  Create a situation where you can make him see it with his own eyes.
