That's not true, unless he has something up his sleeve I think.
Its very normal for the bf to bring their gf clubbing. -

Becoz gals are more prone to being disturbed by guys. And problems will arise, that's why the gf cannot go clubbing alone.
And his reason is, his friends feel awkward and uncomfortable to have gfs around when they have their outings. NO men talk.

but for things like going clubbing, the bf has nothing to lose if he brings his gf along (at least can prevent any misunderstandings)

The problem lies with, gfs are not allowed to go clubbing... Coz the gals tend to attract more guys than guys attracting gals... To prevent such problems, is to stop the gfs from clubbing...
