Putting 100% in a relationship?

I put 100% into a relationship...and i get hurt very deeply
How come there is no 100% in BOTH party?Really sad...
If i play safe and put 50% love into a relationship...i cant see the future.
Any suggestion? -

how much "love" u puts in depends on how much u treasure ur other have.
if u feel u want to give her/him 101%, u go ahead and do so.
but never give love in hope tat u'll receive the same amount back. anyway it ain't measureable so to speak. -
Most cases, one party puts in more effort than the other.

Then I came up with a STRANGE thing... I wanted to go for SHORT TERM relationships... Like... REAL SHORT... I told the girl that the relationship would end 2 weeks after we've known each other even before we started off... She agreed... When the time was up, we just couldn't bear... She was crying for me.... I STAYED.... PROVED to be ONE of the GREATEST MISTAKES in my LIFE....
Then I have my 'heart' divided out... And when I came across one of my CLOSEST EX... I told her about myself... She TAUGHT me something... "In a relationship... No matter how the outcome might be... Don't withold your LOVE for each other... If you're AFRAID... DON'T LOVE..." Cause even when you're in a relationship... If you don't use your heart... You probably still won't be able to understand what TRUE LOVE is ALL ABOUT..... TRUE LOVE is not about 'not getting hurt'... It's simply about BEING TRUE....
LOVE with YOUR TRUE HEART... But of course... Don't expect that failure would never befall you...? Life itself can always be quite unpredictable...? -

In fact, she had ALOT of PIMPLES PROBLEMS... Face complexion is REAL BAD... But she's REALLY 'BEAUTIFUL' in my heart... SIMPLE MINDED... CAREFREE.... She's not really the intelligent type... And she's witty in her own ways... 
And surprisingly she's actually the person who just told me 1 or 2 REALLY MEANINGFUL THINGS about LOVE... Which I can STILL REMEMBER UP TO TODAY...
When I told her I can't give her my 100%, she CHALLENGED me to it... I'm GLAD she WON in the end...
Though I'm really quite regretful that I'm not able to keep her by my side... ALL that I ASK for now is that she's HAPPY with WHOEVER she TRULY LOVES TODAY... -
i feel tat love cnt be measured, how do u know whether is 50% or 100%, some ppl even contribute 200%..depends on how much u love tat person..normally action speak louder tat words..some ppl tink they put alot of effort but the other party may not feel in the same way..

Give 99.99%, but expect nothing. Then you will not be hurted. The 0.01% are things that you are not prepared to lose in any cases. Things like integrity, family relationships etc.

To love someone, is a beautiful thing. And for u to have given 100% in a relationship shows what a wonderful person you are. My advice for u is that.. give what u have in a relationship (ie 100%)... if you don't, you'll regret it.
Of course there are times when it can be very heartbreaking when the other party don't give as much as u do. However, remember that.. giving your 100% means that u've fulfilled your part and given yourself the opportunity to love someone.... True love is about both party giving their outmost dedication and love to each other. If you keep giving 100% to someone.. your dedication and love will touch someone.. and i'm sure.. u'll be able to meet someone who will love u as much as u love them.
So don't be dishearten... -

tt's love... it's very hard to find someone who will love u as much as u love him/her. in a relationship, u often find a party loving the other more... anyway, when u love someone, u should be giving without the motive of wanteding to get anything back in return, isnt it supposed to be so? i've just broken up. probably feel the same way as u do. perhaps u wanna tell us more about wad happened to u? may be we can help u to lessen ur pain? as for me, i've been trying to my occupy myself with lots of work... study... going out with other frens.. just never ever let urself idle or stone... u'll end up thinking about ther person whom u shouldnt be thinking about. the reason is probabaly becoz he/she did not treasure u and appreciate u and wad u have done for him/her. while u're getting upset over here, have u tot of wad he/she may be doing? perhaps wad happened did not mean anything to him/her?Originally posted by doomz:I put 100% into a relationship...and i get hurt very deeply

there's no way both parties can give their 100%.
such a relationship will be just too stressful and too pressurized.
both parties just have to strike a balance, to accomodate situation when either one arn't able to commit, be it exams, or short period of work.
to know how to give and how to recieve is much more important that devoting every part on the individual.
