dear AA,
i've found out from a friend that one of his friend has actually taken a liking on me. i think that this is fate and have decided to give this possible relationship a go. As a guy, i think its more appropriate to open it up to the girl instead of the other way round.. coz the girl may be shy.
but now i've got a problem. i've never talked to this girl before and i am having trouble in bringing up the topic. i have to option to call her, e-mail her or msn her.. but what should we talk about in our 1st conversation? how should i express to her that this is a possible relationship while remaining tactful enough so that it wont frighten the girl away? should i propose a date? if so, what kind of activities is appropriate for 1st dates?

ask your friend organise some group outings.. then ask for her number saying for keepsake.
date her a week later for a movie -
hm... i think it'll be good if u can start toking to her in real life, rather than thru fone, msn or email. it fees more real, doesnt it? but of coz this will require a lot of courage from u. hm.. perhaps u can organise some kind of gathering with ur fren and invite her and her frens? may be some kinda group date for a start? den may be u can use tt opportunity to start ur first conversation with her? try to get to noe her better. ask her for her interests and all? it'll be cool to noe tt u have common views and interests. may be tt's where u can keep ur conversation going on and on... hm... since u're giving this relationship a go, i would strongly encourage u to know her better first. see if she's wad u wan and allow her to judge if u're who she's looking for? how old r u anyway?Originally posted by dibilo:dear AA,

For starters, If u think she's shy, when happen to see her, look her way. When your eyes meet, gives a friendly smile.

i have one small one to give. from personal experience:
STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT.
when the time is ready, then both side got the "feeling" already, when you sense she's on the verge already, then you must take the initiative to make it certain. don't wait liao. -

can i get a girl's perspective on this issue? if u r having a crush on a guy, how would you like your 1st conversation with him be like? a short hi and bye then faint or a long constructive conversation where both of you can get to know each other better..... or .. whats your say.....

Find a common topic... in this case can be the friend who knows both of u. Take about how u know him blah blah blah... find out what she likes, act cute kekeke... just dun talk about the weather, the moon...Zzzzz.....

Congrats on having a girl liking u!
Go on group outing so less pressure on u.
Talk abt. school, CCA, movies, family etc.
Find out more abt. her, encourage her to talk.
Remember never talk abt yr ex gfs & yr past history.
Ask for her contact no. & MSN so u chat with her. -
haih...u know how to advice me wa. use dat advice on urself la. talk to her first..about things dat both of u r intersted in..sinceu r both in school, can talk about that ba...and do little things for her that will brighten up her days..like msg her to ask how are you? things like day...
after she warm up to you oledi, then can try ask her out

i don't think you have to worry so much, because the fact is that she already likes you.
just be normal! talk to her like any other normal friend. let her get to know you better, and let yourself get to know her better as well. the bridge has already been built, all you have to do is to work hard to meet each other at the bridge.
it might help if you ask your friend on what she really likes about you in the first place, this will help you alot.

Wow! Good for you then. But by the way, how did you found out about this girl having a crash on you? Or is it your friend playing a prank on you. Not trying to "pour cold water" but try to lay a back route for yourself. Good luck to you thou!
