MEGADETH Drummer 'Looking Forward' To Pacific Rim Tour
MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:
"Didn't I just get home?? Man, it feels like I just arrived home yesterday, and yet I am off again within 48 hours (well, I do have to leave one day before the others, as I have a photo shoot for Sabian cymbals) but that's cool — I always look forward to the Pacific Rim segment of our world tour. Look out CD shops, here we come again!!
"With a little help from some informative Oz droogs (and a little www searching myself), I was able to find out that we are in somewhat close proximity to the beach for both Perth and Adelaide. This is very good news for me, as I have no intention whatsoever of hanging around the hotel and rotting (though I do love rotting as much as the next dude). All I need now is to find a good sports store to purchase a soccer ball, frisbee and a killer beach blanket — sounds like fun to me.
"In all seriousness, I am super-stoked to visit the above-mentioned as well as new territories yet explored/played for me. I hope all of you attending these shows will dig it as much as we will. Aside from the beach plan, I do hope to find some good shopping areas around, and find that elusive Dee Dee Ramone book I cannot seem to locate here. AAARRRRGGGGG.
"Once again, I thank those of you calling me on my SayNow cell phone. I have certainly enjoyed answering as many of you as time permits, and you listening to me rag on 'which' autobiography I can't seem to locate that day (I bought Don Rickles' new book today — I can't wait to read it on the plane ride)."
MEGADETH's September 22, 2007 concert at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio was streamed live via YeboTV.com. Footage of the band performing "In My Darkest Hour" at the Columbus concert can be viewed below.
