DREAM THEATER Came Close To Firing Singer JAMES LABRIE
According to UK-based music journalist Dave Ling, Rich Wilson's upcoming official book on DREAM THEATER, "Lifting Shadows", contains some shocking bombshells, such as that the prog-metal masters came close to axing singer James LaBrie back in 2002. "Towards the end of the 'Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence' tour, several of us were really starting to question our future with James," admits drummer Mike Portnoy. An "ultimatum" was issued (you'll have to read the book to find out the full details).
As we all know, LaBrie overcame his disappointment, reacting positively to the challenge and remains with the group to the present day.
