They definatly will sound alittle like Edguy because Tobias the lead vox/bassist is from Edguy, this is his side project, hmmm i still dont get why you say they sound like HF. haha

pantera is out of the topic haha, i hate them... :P
i used to love 'tellica but i have grown out of them, not thrashy enough to satisfy my needs.
my favorite album from them is definatly ...And Justice For All. =):( i hope so, im looking for Ultra Violence by death angel, but even the remastered version is RARE.

as the aging rocker here, i would humbly recommend that you all take a listen to the german industrial metal band, die krupps.
i have 2 of their albums; rings of steel and the other one, a tribute to metallica.
in rings of steel, you need to max out your stereo volume for maximum effect. my favourite song is `to the hilt'.
i am not totally convinced of their metallica tribute album and their take of enter sandman and for whom the bell tolls, but it is an interesting album nonetheless, and i am sure a hard to find copy of the cd now.
i also have a sampler given by cleopatra records. it's here that i know of bands like 16 volts, psychopomps and swamp terrorists. obscure, but LOUD!
