Hmmm, Trey from Morbid Angel should replace kerry haha, indeed Metallica has been very influential untill of late. Now Kirk's talents are just going to waste.
Have to agree with Flee, his bass is so fucking emotional... i hate RHCP but dam i got to say flee is great.

Alittle overrated because of his death, but he was the one who propelled Death to the peak.

My favorite Benediction song.

His vocals are brutal but words are articulated well.

Many many solos, but all in the right amounts, not too long not to short...
Fast and pulse racing riffs, like this: Tornado Of SOULS!

2. Larry LaLonde, ex- Possessed

Sad that after he left Possessed he started that shit band, Primus.
Anyway have a listen to his better works. Riffs Riffs Riffs and good solos, not as outrages as Marty but still great!

Tied with Larry is Al Pitrelli, ex- Megadeth, ex- Alice Cooper and Played with the Blue Oyster Cult!! I choose Larry over Al because Al wasn't much of a hit in the metal scene.

Watch this emotion packed solo by Al Pitrelli before the song Poision by Alice Cooper.

Flamboyant but has his roots.

It gets stuck in you forever! Everyone who listens to Heavy Metal knows the tune of this, if not... hmmmm their faith for the Genre should be questioned. A link to this song is not needed.

2.The Kept- Deceased

Fast paced and very refreshing to listen something like this from an old school band. Check them out, too bad the are not popular so no one has them on YouTube.

3. 3rd place is tied between the first 3 songs of the album Abigail by King Diamond.
The intro, Funeral, isnt counted. The three songs are: Arrival, A Mansion In The Darkness and Family Ghost. The intro riffs are soooooo exciting!
