for those who can handle the axe, what is the first song you pick up as your learner song?
for me, it is scorpions' when the smoke is going down. a very forgiving Am, F, G chords.....

Used to play the bass, 1st song was AC/DC's highway to hell... i think.

im a drummer too, starting song i played was sth really really simple, californication, scar tissue and then i later went on to slightly harder songs like hysteria by muse.
stairway to heaven man...such a hard time learning it. after that was wish you were here- PF. haha. but i kinda slowed down on that already, army ah no time

yes, i picked that up too...but it was like my 5th or 10th songs. this is technically more difficult.
i cover a lot of scorpions and eagles song when jamming. and the occasional u2 and early radiohead stuffs.
