Price seems reasonable... ok shall go down soon to make a dvd purchase
long since you visited inokii?
Been there only a couple of weeks ago... to collect my Akercocke cd...
haha.i havent visited a local metal store for ages.
Lol so you've been dl-ing most of your stuff la
There's not much in sg anyways... inokii, hell's labyrinth and the one that's at queensway shopping center are the only ones I know of...
mediafire has been so user-friendly that im too lazy to go to a local store.
and the queensway one is too far for me.forgot hell's labyrinth's number so first one i thought of is inokii.
Gotta agree man Economical and hassle-free
ok going out to collect, perhaps posting a mini-review.
sorry for the mistake, there is no bonus cd to this dvd collection.it includes two of AE's RotT (Rise of the Tyrant) mtvs and some interviews with Japanese metal mag people.
as promised,a mini-review (a poor attempt,i know,i still dunno how to write reviews) :
this gig kicks off with the track "blood on your hands" from RotT,which is now a typical way for AE to start a gig, sirens blaring and all.as expected as the audience might feel, nothing's better than a good 'ol headbangin' session.
the set is based mostly on RotT,with at least 5 songs from the album.i'd rather switch "the day you died" and "night falls fast" for other songs from WoS (Wages of Sin) and AoR (Anthems of Rebellion),instead of trying to please the Jap crowd with "Jap-movie-inspired songs".the jap crowd was most ecstatic when nemesis was being played, one of the only moments that we get to see moshing taking place.
not going to go through the entire set,so moving on to the musicianship...
as usual, the Amott brothers do not fail to deliver the crowd some good soloes, with individual soloes in between songs.they delivered the songs well, but the harmonics were a bit off sometimes.
Angela is fucking crazy, which is nothing new, with her getting the crowd to start chants of "hey" and showing off her trademark headbanging.but sometimes it can be straining to the ears when you hear her screeching into the microphone.
the bassist (sorry i forgot his name) is rockin' out,but the bassline isn't creative and you can hardly hear the bass, due to Century Media making this dvd focus on Angela and the Amott brothers, nothing new,if you see the recent albums.
of course,i saved Daniel Erlandson for the last,as in my opinion,he is the best performer for this gig.he never ceases to get the blast beats right and gets the crowd crazy.a bit of a biased opinion here,as yours truly is interested more in drums.
overall, the sounds and the quality of the video has been satisfactory, displayed in HD,so slide this album into your dvd player and get ready for some pure fucking metal. \m/
