Is it me or...?

I listen to alternative music. (Well duh~) And I'm getting pretty fed up over the fact that I feel that I'm the only one in my network who listens to alternative music. (I know, in Singapore I'm not the only one.)
And, well, my friends around me, they don't appreciate the same genre of music I listen to. I find it kind of disturbing when they try to make me listen to pop songs and such =/ I mean, I'm just into hardcore, screamo, etc.
Bands I listen to: A Skylit Drive, Armor For Sleep, Asking Alexandria, Aiden, Atreyu, Alesana, Avenged Sevenfold, AFI, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Death In December, Eyes Set To Kill, Escape The Fate, From First To Last, Good Charlotte, Hawthorne Heights, LoveHateHero, The Devil Wears Prada, Walls Of Jericho, Underoath, Senses Fail, The Almost, Secondhand Serenade, Paramore, Panic At The Disco, Within Temptation.
These bands arent really even underground ==; but imo, it's hard to find people my age who likes the same type of music as I do. Maybe, because I'm not very exposed. Or maybe the alternative music scene in Singapore is not exposed enough...
That's why I'm here to, you know, mix around and get to know a few fellow friends that actually listen to the music I listen to instead of weird cranky crap =/

im one of ur fellow 'weird cranky crap' music listeners XD i listen to pop. haven't tried alternative/rock/metal because screaming hurts my ears..
but well you are who you are. just enjoy your music w/o caring what others may comment/remark on.

And when I let them listen to Cannibal Corpse, they say they cannot take it... what the mama cows! If a7x is "dam facking heavy" then shouldn't they be able to take a little of Cannibal Corpse!? -

..... stay away from your friends, they're trying to brain wash you and turned you into a clone of theirs. Attend gigs or concerts from overseas that features music that you listen to, chances are great to meet those people who share the same kind of music as yours. they havent even heard of black metal.i've heard some guy saying iron maiden is black metal -
