my dear sweetie pup,
sometimes we can't explain why things happen. why friends stop calling. why they betray us. why poeple we thought were close to us seem so distant. we cannot explain why people pass away, why love seems so short-lived, not only in our lives, but in the lives of many around us.
of course, we also cannot explain the happiness we feel now that we have each other. we can't explain why me, or why you. i can't explain why the beautiful rainbow sitting outside my plane window reminds me of you. i cannot explain why the sunset is even more splendid when i'm thinking of you. i ALSO cannot explain this turbulance that's making my handwriting so haywire!! sorry for the anti-climax, my dear, u can stop grinning now!!
Let me list the little things so far that enthrall me:
I love your voice, the way it shrills when you're excited, the way it bites when you're annoyed, and how soothing it is when it's full of sweet-nothings. i love your confidence, when you say "bye" on the phone, you hang up immediately, because you know i will always be at the other end of the line so there's no fear in letting go for just a moment. i love the way you sms me, wondering if i'm busy, not calling because you think i am, and hoping i'd call straight away, because i'm not. there's however one thing i do not like: and that's this bloody downlight that i need to turn on to write this letter to you. it's hot!! (ok ok, anti-climax part 2)
the sun is really setting now. i can see the myriad of colours, but not the sun itself. it's almost like it's hiding itself from me just like how it's not time for me to see you yet. it's no matter, like you i believe the sun will be there for me for a very long time to come. and i will bask in your warmth and not be burnt by your heat. just as long as you stay out of the kitchen and let me do the cooking!
i can't wait to see you.
