Travelling time is 30 minutes, depends on road condition. Fare to Tmn U from JB is RM 2.80. -

Latest information I have received is:
Bus fare from Gelang Patah to Jurong East = RM4.00 (one way)
Bus fare from Jurong East to Gelang Patah = SGD3.00
Can someone verify this? -
Just an extra info on CW3.
I was told by the driver that if you see the SIDE SIGNAGE BACKGROUND of the bus is BLUE (against yellow wording), then that bus is licensed to enter S'PORE.
If it's black background (also against yellow wording), that one travels in JB, picking up passengers from their usual route up to Gelang Patah only.
At the moment, CW3 is still having teething problems. Ever since they made Gelang Patah their swapping base, passengers have been "quarelling" with the Handal Indah staff every morning because of the uncertainty of their departure time.
Internally, they themselves are confused abt their own scheduling, so the timing is all very messed-up. We're also driven crazy not knowing exactly what is the best time to board the bus from our residential area. If we take an early bus, we ended up having to wait @ GP for the next buses to fill up the S'pore bus. But if we decide to take a slightly later bus, we missed the S'pore bus and had to wait for the next one. So far, many has experienced an average 30mins of waiting time @ GP.
This morning one of the driver dialled his superior's no. and passed the mobile phone to one of the passenger to "scold" him directly. So it's not that we have not spoken to the Management of Handal Indah. Those people at the top have received as much complaints from us as those from the lower rung. But they're not listening to the passengers nor the suggestions & feedback given by their staff.
I can only say that for now, if you want to board the CW3, be prepared to have your blood pressure raised. -

Yeah, but most of those who complain to Handal Indah abt CW3 are the Malaysian-Johorean themselves. I met and chat with quite a number of them. we can see HI putting in nice MAN buses, such as those used for CW2, and their domestic routes, they use a slightly lower grade of bus..
compare with SBS170, 160, SBS uses mk3, which isnt a very nice bus to begin with.
HI is giving more respect to its CW services, than SBS is to sv170. (if sbs takes care of 170, we may have mk4 DM) -

As far as vehicles are concerned, HI seems to be acquiring many new units in quite a short time & technically, these tend to be on par if not more advanced than those in Singapore. Not only on CW3, especially JB-KL & the soon to launch SGP-KL routes, are expected to use more new vehicles & likely new higher end models as well ! So for driving alone, HI is becoming more attractive to drivers where they have the chance to drive something others elsewhere have not upgraded to.

1 very bad habit which i never like about almost ALL the operators drivers (not just on CW) are that they like to follow very 'silently' & close to the vehicle in front, expecting them to either increase their speed or filter aside to let them pass, while on the highway. But on all my many such high speed trips on Malaysian highways over the last 10 years, i've not encountered anyone actually hitting the vehicle in front. I believe that's only because Malaysian drivers know 'what to do' when being followed in such manner & give in accordingly for them to overtake.
But of course, theoritically the thought of going @ 100 km/h say with only 1 or 0.5 meter to the vehicle in front is uncomfortably ridiculous to even think about unless if electronic drawbars are used, which i don't think currently exist in Malaysia yet.
