how about admend 985 to serve suntec city?the changes is as follows .by the way this is a fantasy route. towards suntec city
after boon keng rd,admend it and let it ply
-kallang bahru,lavender st,kallang rd,victoria st,bras basah rd,raffles blv,temasek ave,raffles ave,stamford rd,victoria st ,kallang rd,lavender st,kallang bahru and then back to boon keng rd .(the rest of 985 route remains unchange)
any comments? -

Rather have 985 end at EUN. It is so bare.

but heard from some of the sgforumers from singapore buses forum that 985 is less than half filled from choa chu kang to geylang lor1 terminal.i thought that maybe there would be more passengers if rerouted to loop at suntec city.

What a lousy feedback. 985 service was to provide a direct travel from Kallang to CCK, running thru PIE. The purpose is to cut down the travelling time. i suggested 985 use Guillemard Rd. I certainly hope they won't implement this suggestion...firstly due to duplication and it doesn't make sense...and u only lengthen a long journey.

This is a lousy idea..Firstly, we have a lot of bus services serving suntec alreadi after the NEL merger..such as 97/111/106 serving the west. Add to that 77. and i think is overdose..
Secondly as said. 985 serves as a short cut. In fact..i rather take 985 from BB to Kallang as I dont have to change train at jurong and time taken is abt the same.. abt 45 min. If u loop at suntec then it will only lengthen the time.
Finally if i am not wrong..new bus routes implemented must not be circuitous without reason according to PTC. -
77 & 106 duplicate each other heavily. I think the former should be amended.
